Joni Dawn Vahsholtz-Whitefoot

Joni Dawn Vahsholtz-Whitefoot, 56, of Junction City, Kansas passed away in Salina, Kansas on May 22, 2016.
Her celebration of life will be held on June 18, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Abilene, Kansas with Pastor Justin Panzer officiating. Burial services will be held at a later date.
Joni was born in Salina, Kansas to John and Deanna Jo Kline (Chase) on March 16, 1960. She graduated from Herington High School in 1978 and later attended Kansas State University. She worked for USD 475 as a paraprofessional for the special needs children and enjoyed every minute of it! She also worked at Walmart in Junction City, Kansas in the Lawn and Garden Center.
She enjoyed her family and friends, but most of all her life. Joni had several hobbies which included gardening and crafts, shopping, and time spent with the people that made her happiest- especially her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Maynard and Rosina Kline and maternal grandparents Harry Gillig and Doris Gillig-Chase.
Joni is survived by her husband Ralph Whitefoot, two children and their spouses, John Vahsholtz (Ashley Tonn), Jessica and Kyle Haslouer, two step daughters and spouse, Amber and Clay Crocker, and Michelle Johnson. Her mother and father of Herington, John and Deanna Kline. She has three sisters and their spouses Julie and Tom Brooks, Jaqua and Jim Ochoa, and Jamea Kline. Three nieces and their spouses Sarah and Kyle Uhlig, Marissa and Bryan Swallow, and Gabriella Ochoa. She is also survived by her honeys (grandchildren) Trenton and Nolan Haslouer, Cooper Vahsholtz, and Arabella Crocker. Also surviving is her great-nephew Jack Uhlig.
In lieu of flowers, the family is holding the following memorials in her honor: Tammy Walker Cancer Center and the Morrison House, both in Salina, Kansas.
The family would like to express their love and appreciation to everyone who has been part of Joni’s Journey.
