Robert K. "Bob" Bork, 79, of Milford, died Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Via Christi Regional Medical Center in Manhattan. Bob was born May 8, 1939 at Luck, Wisconsin, the son of Arthur O. & Ora Mae (Seng) Bork. Bob attended schools in Wisconsin and graduated from Centuria (Wisconsin) High School in 1957.

Bob enlisted in the U.S. Navy in January of 1958 and spent 4 years with Communications on board submarines. He was honorably discharged in January of 1962.

Bob was an interior telephone-line installer and worked for Western Electric, A T & T, and Sprint, having lived in Minneapolis, MN, Brooklyn Park, MN., and Maple Grove, MN. Bob moved to Milford in 2005 when he retired. Bob was a member of the Milford Congregational Church, Milford Lions Club, the V.F.W. Post 7774 at Wakefield, and the Topeka-Jefferson City Submarine Veteran Base-U.S. Submarine Service Veterans, Inc.

Bob married Ruby F. Kearn on April 16, 2005 in Wakefield, KS. Ruby died April 22, 2018.

Survivors include: a daughter, Colleen Corden and her husband, Nate, North Lawrence, New York; 2 sons, Michael Dean, Shawnee, Okla., and Mark Hedlund and his wife Sunshine, Maple Plain, MN; 2 step-daughters, Renee Armbruster and her husband Greg, Topeka, and Ronnie Juarez and her husband David, Ft. Dodge, KS; a step-son Rod Persing, Milford; a sister, Inez R. Clark, Newaygo, MI; 5 grandchildren; and 4 step-grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters.

It was Bob's wish to be cremated.

A Memorial Service will be 9:00 a.m., Monday, July 16, 2018 at the Milford Congregational Church in Milford, with Pastor Dirk Westerman presiding. Inurnment will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Kansas Veterans' Cemetery at Ft. Riley at Manhattan. Military Honors will be presented by the U.S. Navy Honor Guard at the cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Milford Congregational Church, 101 Barry St., Milford, KS, 66514.
