Verna M. Meyer, 76, of Junction City, died Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Via Christi Regional Health Center in Manhattan.
Verna was born February 22, 1941 in Junction City, the daughter of Loyal and Pauline (Moody) Belin.
She attended school in Milford and graduated from Milford High School in the Class of 1959. Verna was a member of the First Christian Church in Junction City.
She was a homemaker.
Verna married Albert E. Meyer, Jr. in Junction City on January 23, 1960. Albert died March 14, 2011.
Survivors include: a son, Timothy Meyer, Junction City; a daughter, Brenda Stutz and her husband Michael, Junction City; a brother, Richard Belin, Eldorado; 2 sisters, Leona Kay Hanus, Manhattan, and Annie Marie Bilke, Baxter Springs; and 3 grandchildren, Aaron, Ricky, and Kaylee Stutz. Verna was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Albert.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 17, 2017 at Penwell-Gabel Junction City Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Ronnie Roberts presiding. Burial will follow at the Milford Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Thursday, November 16, 2017, 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Junction City Funeral Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church, or to the Animal Shelter in Junction City.
