Ryan Wayne Barnhurst Remmers, 43, of Junction City died on Sunday, October 1, 2017, at his home. A funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 6, 2017, at First Christian Church with Pastor Ronnie Roberts officiating, burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery near Riley, KS. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Memorial Contributions have been designated to First Christian Church 1429 St. Marys Road Junction City, KS 66441

Ryan was born May 13, 1974, Manhattan, KS to William Barnhurst and Judith Marie Remmers. He graduated from Lovejoy High School, Lovejoy, GA in 1992, he also attended Clayton State University in Atlanta, GA.

He owned and operated R&R Painting. Ryan suffered a hip injury in a car accident that took place December 21, 2003. This accident ended his professional career. He married Julia S. Thomas July 1996. They later divorced in 2004.

Ryan is survived by his mother Judy (Remmers Bagley of Junction City, KS; his Grandmother, Marie Cundiff of Junction City, KS; his Aunt and Uncle Shirley and Ned Sump; his Uncle Larry Remmers; his Aunt, Sophia Spitz, his Aunt and Uncle, Robert and Charlotte Landrith and a number of cousins.

He was preceded in death by his Grandfather; Alvin Remmers.
