Dallas Luttman, 91, of Chapman, KS, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2017 at Chapman Valley Manor. A funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Chapel with Pastor Ronnie Roberts officiating. A visitation will be held 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Highland Cemetery in Wakefield, KS. Memorial contributions may be given to the Geary Community Hospital Auxiliary c/o Karen Cyphers, 1102 St. Mary's Road Junction City, KS 66441 or to the organization of the donor's choice.

Dallas was born October 16, 1925, in rural Geary County, KS, the son of Edward and Anna (Yenni) Luttman.

Dallas spent his life farming near Wakefield, KS. He served on the Alida and Wakefield Co-op Boards; member of the Geary County Farm Bureau and served as President in the late 1960's; member of the Eagle's Lodge in Junction City since 1959 and served as a volunteer at Geary Community Hospital Auxiliary for ten years.

He married Betty Parks October 10, 1948, at the Alida United Brethren in Christ Parsonage. She passed away August 9, 1995. He later married Dorothy Hultgren-Ragain on February 14, 1999, at the First Christian Church in Junction City, KS.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy of the home; two sons, Gary Luttman (Wendy) of Wakefield, KS, Steven Luttman (Julie)of Leawood, KS; two daughters, Gail Stein (Dale) of Chapman, KS and Sheryl Lopez (Michael) of Blue Springs, MO; one step-son, George Ruhnke (Yvonne) of Wichita, KS; seventeen grandchildren and twenty one great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife Betty.

Casket bearers will be Fred Thurlow, Robert Thurlow, Larry Avery, Ron Parks, Jeff Braden, Larry Hillyard, Brad Mason and Randy Otto. The honorary casket bearers will be George Ruhnke, Gary "Gabe" Shandy and Sam Auld.
